Why do I have to wait 24 hours between tanning sessions?
Beach Bunnie proudly enforces the 24-hour tanning law. In the state of Arizona there is a 24 hour rule in ultraviolet radiation. Stating you may only expose yourself to ultraviolet rays once every 24 hours to the minute. This prevents individuals from over exposure.
Where are you located and where can I park?
We are located in the University of Arizona’s Main Gate Square at the Corner of Park and University Blvd. There is metered parking all along University Blvd. Any time after 5 pm, we validate Tyndall Garage parking stubs. On the weekends Tyndall Garage is always FREE of charge at any hour of the day.
Spray Tanning Tips and Advice
Exfoliating before your spray tan?
We suggest you exfoliate really well prior to your session. Do not wear any lotion after you exfoliate. Makeup is okay.
What should I wear to my spray tan session?
Lose fitting clothing is always recommended. It is also advised to wear a sandal to ensure no sock lines.
Will the spray tan stain my clothes?
Avoid wearing white to your session if possible. The bronzer might transfer to certain articles of clothing however, will not stain. Any sign of transfer is completely washable.
How long will my spray tan last?
Your sunless color will last anywhere between 10-12 days. This question varies from person to person. If you shower more often your tan will disappear faster than someone who showers less frequently.
How often should I get a spray tan to maintain color?
We recommend every other week. We say every other week because, your tan will last longer than a week and we prefer you to be scrubbed clean before applying another tan. This just guarantees flawless results!
How can I make my spray tan last longer?
Any kind of oil such as; coconut oil, baby oil, Olive Oil these help moisturize your skin without drying it out. Any kind of moisturizing lotion is recommended as well. Oil is always our first choice because water based lotions tend to dry the skin out.
How long do I have to wait to shower?
You wait 8-10 hours before showering post spraying. You will become darker and darker throughout the process. This is totally normal and will wash off in the shower, leaving your flawless airbrush finish. Don’t forget to pat dry and NO exfoliating.
What is the difference between the UV tanning bed level’s/ How do I know which level is best for me?
The main difference is the amount of UVA/ UVB rays one is exposed to. All Beach Bunnie Tanning consultants are happy to help determine your skin type and recommend a level that will help you achieve your tanning goal.
Does tanning lotion actually do anything?
It sure does! When you don’t have tanning lotion on, your skin is dry and reflects the sun rays. When you wear tanning lotion it helps your skin to absorb the sun rays and give you a dark rich tan. We recommend you always tan with a tanning lotion if you want to get any color.
Now the kind of lotion you would need depends on what kind of tan you want.
- If you tan easy, any lotion will work great!
- If you tan okay- You will need a Bronzing lotion or tingle lotion.
- If it’s hard to tan- Natural bronzer or accelerator lotion.
Why is it better to tan indoor vs. outdoors?
Tanning indoors is controlled whereas outside it is not. The proper amount of rays and time can be determined indoors to maximize your tan. There are also less reddening rays indoors, which mean you’re getting more of the bronzing rays. The bronzing rays are what help build your melanin.
